How/When does Shadowhearts love scene trigger?

Im well into Act 3 and I havent had it trigger yet (talking about the actual love scene, not the kiss on the cliff in Act 1, that triggered as normal). I've completely finished her questline and our relationship is at its max. Does it trigger once you sleep one random night, or will she have an icon over her head?

She doesnt make any reference to it like we've done it already, so I dont think I missed it. Just curious as to why I havent seen it yet.

She tried camping out with me one night, I let the moment pass because thats what I would do, but I guess I was supposed to kiss her. This happened very start of Act 1.

She hasn't made a move since then even though she deems me "hers."

before the final mission, dont get on the skiff to go to the final bossfight / area if you havent romanced yet, if you arent getting the scene to proc by the time youre there, just spam long rests.

not required, but also find her parents if you havent already, or else youll get the 'bad' shadowheart romance ending after the game is finished

I never gave her a night orchid in act 2 - this isnt detrimental is it? Our "relationship" is at 100, but is it mandatory to moving her romance along?

i highly doubt it is detrimental to your chances of bedding her.
you can test this theory by going to the SexHouse in act3, go to the brother/sister drows, and ask to have segcy time with them. the male will tell you that theyre a joint package. Shadowheart will tell you she doesnt want her first time to be with someone that isnt you.

if you dont get that statement from shadowheart, id assume that youve:
1. already "cheated" on her.

Perhaps I’ll try this and see what her response is. From what I’ve seen, her scene triggers pretty early into act 3, so it makes me worried that perhaps I’ve encountered a bug that doesn’t even make the conversation trigger. I’ve turned away every companion that has tried to make a move, so my heart is completely given to Shadowheart lol.

Restart the game.

I honestly doubt that's a thing, maybe you still can? I don't even remember where on earth I found it but for some reason that was a dialog option for me.

the scene triggered for me litterally at the end of act3 before hte final area.
i assume because i rarely used long rests. once i was at the Skiff to go to the end of the game , i ended up spamming long rests until once of the cutscenes i got invloved shadowheart.

if all else fails, i can send you my save file if thats a thing, i have a save as it happens

Noted! I’ll just play on and hope that it eventually triggers, and that the cutscene doesn’t bug when it it does. I’ve grown quite fond of Shadowheart so I would love to be able to see this through.

have you attempted to spam Long Rests?

I did not romance her in my first playthrough, but in my second playthrough romance with her began the 4th time I took a long rest, which is the long rest where the tieflings and druid met at my camp after having elilminated the goblins and their 3 leaders. So, quite early in the game.

It's the same point on this playthrough where the romance with Lae'zal and Karlach also started. That night when I choose to long rest I had to select which of them I wanted to spend the night with.

I did kiss her when the opportunity presented itself. I mean...seriously, who would choose not to?

You couldn't take an obvious hint. You deserve to fail at romancing Shadowheart. That is all.
