Doing pretty damned well with a hordebreaker, hunter ranger myself.
Literally he knocked out 80% of the gith creche:D

Assasination.

Cast greater invisbility and can wipe out a whole map invisible.

assassins been putting in some work, specifically as dark urge once you get the deathstalkers mantle cape. Feels like I can solo most fights.

I think thief is probably the better general subclass, just because of the extra bonus action.
