act 3. cant get into the murder tribunal

so this will be a bit spoiler ish as a post but i need help.

during the quest investigate the murders you find out that a dwarf in a red outfit is killing everyone, from this dwarf you are suppose to get a piece of paper that gives you the password for the tribunal door.

thing is as im playing evil dark urge i decided to kill all of the red dwarfs last victims so he just never showed up. i have gone back to everyone i have killed to see if he would randomly be there and he isnt, i have long rested and done the same thing again and still nothing.

im stuck as i dont know how to get the passcode because every "guide" on the quest goes the non killing route which seems to have no issues tied to it and since this is tied to orin and how to get to her i must have this password

If you killed the dwarf's last victims I think you can still push the hidden button in the casket shop and interact with the door. I had the password when I did but I feel like it would've accepted something else.

I got to this quest in reverse order; had the password already but never saw the hidden button. My memory may be off but I thought Orin gave me the password after she came to camp and threatened one of my dudes unless I agreed to kill Gortash. (happened during a long rest)

nop, i just started another campaign. ive seen some people say that long resting a couple of times could fix anything but i didnt bother

The door that asks for a password is NOT the door to the tribunal. It's the tribunal, that you get the password from in the first place.

The tribunal is accessible in 2 way: Either you kill the guards and walk in, or you present them a pouch with the cut off hands, that the red armored dwarf drops. Since you just killed his victims instead, you might have been able to loot their cut off hands from them. If not, just kill the guards and walk in.

The door that asks for a password is NOT the door to the tribunal. It's the tribunal, that you get the password from in the first place.

i have 5 hands in my inventory 1 of them being from gale. and it kept itself locked asking for a password. there are no guards, just a locked door behind a bookcase or whatever it was

When I killed the targets myself (I think I had to kill only 2 of them I think?) on my dark urge playthrough I got contacted by some random guy, who's name I don't remember on the streets (not the dwarf). He ran up to me, gave me the password and told me where to go.

If the guy didn't show up then it sounds like it's bugged.

yea this is what should have happened for me. he came to me after the first kill telling me to kill more and i would be rewarded but he no-showed on me

you dont need a passcode. you will find a switch behind the painting in the house if it still does not help I can elaborate or guide through Discord.

i FOUND the button. i PRESSED the button, it REVEALED a locked door that asks for a PASSWORD that i DO NOT HAVE.
a guide does nothing as i have looked at 6 different ones before making this post

Try going to Figaro's shop and casting speak with dead on the investigator's corpse.

Depending on how you play this, going back to Figaro's after warning him and the other potential or actual victims should trigger a fight with Dolor and wrap up what you need to get past the door.

So this just happened to me - the red dwarf had a piece of paper on his body that had a poem with the pass phrase. Once I read it my character picked up it was what we needed to say to the door
