There is no miracle solution as far as I can tell, couldn't find any myself.
Hopefully Larian will adress/fix/improve this in later patches. But yes, act 3 is basically a stutter fest/ frame drops once you hit the city, there's so much interiors and npcs processed at the same time any computer will struggle, this is just a lack of optimization on Larian part.
*sigh* which is just sad really isn't it.
I am fairly critical of the game and I do not give it the praise others do, purely because I see too many glaring issues with it and I view it as just another generic CRPG but at least a good one relatively. (not game of the decade or something)
However one thing I did think highly of it for was its performance, given the high fidelity of the game. But this lack of optimisation in ACT 3 does a disservice to the rest of the game because the performance was stellar.
Honestly that just raises my suspicions that they did push the release forward cause " it was ready " but just to avoid the competition with Starfield. The game could have used the 30 more days in the oven for more polish.
I just decided to reroll other characters and progress them to the same point of the story. Because as it stands now, this is barely playable for me.
Yeah. That's the irony though isn't it? because I am just going to take a break from the game now until its fixed and Starfield and armoured core 6 for me are up next.
Still weary of Starfield because of bethesda. However I have no doubts AC6 is going to be an absolute blast.
*mind blown*
It is a giant city scape with a ton of moving people and parts all over the place. You can have that and a bit of performance problems, or a ton of cut off sections and more loading screens. Those are usually the choices.
I would agree if the visual fidelity and quality of the game is high enough to warrant that and it was a next gen game. But its really not. The visual quality is equal to that of the witch 3. A lot of the spaces you can enter don't fully render in, until half a second before you open a door. The details of a character from the high in the sky camera angle don't fully render in the characters anyway which you can tell because when you talk to someone in the city, you see the details of their face render in sometimes, meaning they aren't always there. If all details of all things you can see were fully rendered in, in real time then you'd have a point.
There really isn't an excuse for the lack of performance in ACT 3. The game itself isn't revolutionary graphically and my computer can handle just about anything and does so perfectly fine in virtually every other game.
BEYOND disappointed.
Some of you have some weird ass standards. If your computer can't handle this game, I wouldn't bother with anything that is "better" than this game.
HBTX 5090TI SLI SHOULD DO JUST FINE FOR FULL HD RESOLUTION IF PAIRED WITH INTEL I10-17900K
AND WHATS WITH 16 GB OF RAM MY DUDE? SHAMEFUL
