Geeze Rogues are even worse then mages.
they sucks in all sense no extra damage from behind *Behind NPC just to be clear*
no flanking i give Astarion Really a good weapon (Knife of the under-mountain king)
and he still do shocking 8 damage without a extra attack. the hack is wrong with the picture!.

Yeah the guy doing thirty damage a round at level 1 is trash. Lmao, you have no idea what you are talking about and speak with such raw confidence.

Rogues get their sneak attack from either having advantage over the target or having a friendly in melee with it.

My level 7 rogue does three full turns of attacks, upwards of 50 damage, before an enemy can take a single turn, and grants the entire party surprise.

You're just... doing it wrong.

Stealth, poisons, items, utility. You can't just click on enemies.

My brother in christ Rogues are the most consistent DPS in the game, all you need to do is use their key feature, Sneak attack.
And also wdym "even worse than mages"? mages are probably one of if not the best class in the game and DND in general

Mages are worse than martials in this game, so I'd like to know where you get your stats from.

No you're not dealing 60 damage with Lae'zel on level 1, even if you crit

Honestly, Astarion deals easily the most damage per round for me. Just use him with advantage. Make him an assassine able to deal with two weapons and he's a monster. Left unsaid his advantage in traps, locks and charming matters. This being said, if you use them right, Mages kick ass ;)

Level 1 is worthless and sneak is a nonsense concept.

Rogues with the dark urge cape = RIP all enemies.
ACS36 Aug 13, 2023 @ 10:44am
Rogues are good. Depends how you play game.

Rogues get bonus action to dash, disengage and stealth. You need advantage to do sneak attacks. Rogues are great at taking out low health enemies that stand far away from your party. Or finishing somebody off.

Now if you want to cheese the game with shove and 12 attacks in one turn, then rogues probably aren't the best choice. The dev's really messed up the game economy and screwed over class balance because of it.

Skill issue. You don't have any idea what you're talking about and now you're just making up stuff. You're not playing them correctly if you think they are weak.

Well.

Uh.

No.... I mean. They aren't completely useless once you get them up to fireball / haste levels. Before then, they're garbage trash. After that point they're acceptable in some group compositions but not usually worth their spot on the team in most others. They're definitely weak, especially with the extreme lack of viable subclass options and the wildly unreliable save checks their spells allow. Imagine if you told everyone else that their best attacks only succeeded 50% of the time and they could only attack twice per day...

Rogue, especially thief is super OP. I hate to say it, but git gud. Clear skill issue when you can't succeed with one of the best (and most fun) classes.
