camp supplies disappeared - bug?
I've just encountered something very frustrating. I went back to camp to rest before an upcoming battle against a certain swamp hag, and it told me I didnt have enough supplies for a long rest. Thing is, I've spent the last 40 hours going out my way to explore every box and barrel and basket to find every bit of food and drink I could and send it back to camp.

I had tons of it, all in my Travellers chest. Seriously, enough to last weeks. I've been very careful when long resting to choose precisely 40 points worth each time, going as far as to roleplay making mixed diet stuff for stews - a bit of garlic or herb, meat, veg some ale or wine for stock, you get the picture. I had meticiously been splitting stacks of melons and potatoes and garlic etc to make my camp stews, and now, suddenly it has vanished from the chest.

I had long rested after a small battle with 4 masked guards, then spent no-small amount of time going back and forth from the lair to overworld to get boxes and chests to cover up poison vents, switching characters, and disarming traps. Then I went back to camp to regain all the HP lost from that tedious activity, and my supplies have all mysteriously gone aside from a carrot, a bottle of ale and a couple of salami. Not sure what to do now. I tried saving and reloading, to no avail.

This happening to anyone else? Anyone know why? How to fix it? Are the supplies all vanished from the world entirely now, meaning I can no longer long rest as I had cleared out everywhere I had been already? wtf?

Do you check the supplies in the chest or by clicking on bedroll?
On some camp maps the chest seems to be missing with all the content.
Upd: looks like the chest is missing if cutscene happened the moment you click got to camp.

I have seen it say "you don't have enough" when you go to camp, but I think it was just counting what was on our backs, not what was already in the traveler's chest; when it came time for the meal I could easily throw down 172/40 if I selected everything.

It did something really weird for me, and I have no idea why. I had had the message 'you dont have enough' and then looked to rest window with add supplies to 40 and there was just the paltry bits I mentioned before (a carrot, bottle, couple of apples). So I backed out, and having already checked supplies in chest as explained in the OP, saved and quit game.

After verifying files restarting again and loading the save file, it still had the 'not enough# message, but checking the chest again, this time there was a backpack weighing 117, worth some 1500 gold. I couldnt open the backpack to check, only retrieve it from the chest. Presumbly I would have had to go into my inventory and then into the backpack and then select all the things and 'send back to camp'. Urgh!

I'm glad I didnt just do that, and went back to the resting circle to try again, because although I still had the 'not enough' pop up, upon trying to choose supplies, the window displayed everything, which confirmed to me all the supplies where in the backpack.

Very strange!

I would pass this off as some strange bug that resolved itself, but the fact they all appeared in backpack on their own volition, and the fact they seemingly were not there at some point when I went to try make food, and then they were after the backpack appeared... well, it has me wondering if there is some kind of food thief or mischief at play!

I had this same thing happen but I had a stack of 12 camp supplies packs in my box, and when i went to the traveler's chest to split them to see if that would maybe make it work, the one i split off disappeared. I then move them to my inventory and split them apart just fine, but still couldn't use them to rest, then using "send to camp" on them or putting them in the chest manually made them disappear. Later 11/12 popped back into my inventory briefly, and made me encumbered. When I sorted my inventory by type the 11 camp supply packs disappeared again and I lost the encumbered debuff. Very odd stuff.

[Edit]:
I just bought a new pack, did "send to camp" now I have my original 12 plus the new one back, and they're all happily stacked together. Very weird bug involving these packs indeed.
