The exact affects of tactician is +2 to enemy saves and attacks, +30% to enemy health, more vicious enemy AI (including but not limited to a greater tendency to focus fire the squishiest character), more environmental objects (such as barrels), and double supply cost for long rest.
(Edited to remove reference to enemy armour class. Forgot that +2 I'm seeing is because I use a mod that makes tactician difficulty harder).
Or he's using the same mod that I am which gives +2 to armour class on tactician as well. That's not standard for the game, however, that's the mod.
(There is a difference between Explorer and balanced though. You get +2 to hit on explorer).
Nope just a melee attack. Tried it on commander Zahlk (or wherever his name was)
55% on explorer, 45% on balanced and 35% on tactician.
Dice aren't changed at all on tactician, and DC are still really low values on average. The DC's are based on what act your'e in for the most part. Further you progress more likely you are to run into higher ones.
Notice the +2 (Tactician Difficulty) in the combat logs for enemies.
You can see all the differences in difficulty here:
