if i was only doing main quest i could have done grymforge in 1 hour or less idk what you guys are doing...just look at the map and fill in the black space youll find everything its not hard
I believe I found everything there was to find in Act 1 and finished it with level 6, which was useful because the first mobs in the mountain pass were those level 6 undeads with 2 skellies that have a full HP res undead cantrip. I had to go ham with fireball, spirit guardians and taking down both skellies at the same time.
I'm thinking you missed a lot more than you think you did or skipped through a bunch of dialogue/ended dialogue early. Even knowing everything I need to do it still took me more than 20 hours for act 1, there is just so much running and so many areas to go to and get things from.
I could understand if you just run from quest waypoint to quest waypoint, but there is far more than that in the game and I wouldn't say doing that is "literally everything".
Time spent on a game shouldn't be used as any kind of metric ever. There's been plenty of games I've played where I've wanted it to end and stopped having fun long before the credits rolled.
🤡
are you one of those people who kept dying to neer or the adamantite boss? my condolences friend
I scan every environment with my mouse.
I wander to every edge of the map.
I open every chest, vase, crate, trunk, etc.
I read every book.
I try to talk to every corpse.
I have multiple chats with the same NPC to see if anything changes/to see everything they say.
I check every NPC inventory to see if I want to steal from them.
I sneak around a lot stealing things, that takes some time sometimes.
I purchase things from every NPC.
I collect every item I think will be of value and send it to my camp, then spent a lot of time organizing all of it. I.E. I'm a hoarder.
I scavenge for every ingredient.
During battle, I read every enemies "Examine" and try to study their stats.
I have respecced and spent hours learning what each class does (not a DnD player, so it's all new to me).
If an NPC or item looks like it should do something else, but isn't, I will try to see if there's anything I can do to trigger some kind of event. I mean, you never know until you know.
I spent too much time fiddling with my Graphics settings.
I'm super picky about my hotbar and inventory, so I sort that stuff a lot.
I like to scan around with the camera before coming up to something that looks like it'll be a mission/cutscene/dialogue, then I traverse an entire scouting party around the area in order to see what may be around. Then I engage, this can take time.
After engaging, I'll scan the surrounding area again to see if anything has changed.
During dialogue, I carefully consider my options before answering (if the conversation was realtime people would think my Druid is mentally unable with how slow these conversations go). I don't rush through any dialogues either (obviously).
There's a lot of reasons someone can spend a lot of hours in a game.
I do know I'm gonna get my $60 worth out of this game.
Treat like a story . . not a speed run achievement.
Don't be afraid to say what you mean. That is the path of a coward.
The better question is - why do you care how long/short it takes others in a single player/coop game? Stop seeking praise and admiration for your "speed run" ("Oh wow, how did you do it so fast brah???"). No one cares how fast you sped through the game, just like you shouldn't care how slow others play it. This isn't a kindergarden speed competition - grow the ♥♥♥♥ up kid.
but yeah i read/pick up/loot every possible box.
i was so relieved when the creche had barely any loot in it. But yeah a lot of backtracking for every quest/sell/loot.
I like to do everything and make sure no quest is left undone.
I'm 29h in even tho it says act 1 complete cuz i accidentally went ahead.
Probably be 40h when underdark is done.
I mean are u meant to be lvl 7 before act 2? Im 7. And got like 10k gold despite buying all the blue armors n weapons i could find xD.
