I don't know, try! Or check google, though I am afraid of spoilers, so I try to not look for much informations around the Internet nowadays. I want to do 4 playthroughs at least to try different characters and romances.
I guess the game is so long and there are so many romance options, there are few confirmed informations about these things.
Was actually hoping minthara would be better on my next play but well now im not sure anymore. Will have a look at shadowheart
The quality of the romances are directly proportional to how likely they are to be experienced by players.
Most people, I would predict greater than 90% of players even, on their first playthrough will completely miss that Minthara can even be recruited. This is largely in part due to the vast majority of players playing "the good guy" because it's the default behavior of most people. The reduced quality of writing of her romance arc is therefore not surprising at all.
One of the reasons that the Tali romance was so good in Mass Effect is because the devs predicted she would be a popular option given the kind of people who play sci-fi games. They put most of the writing work into Ashley (huge number of players, i.e. gameplay andies, just go with the "default"), then Tali, then everyone else. That's what made the lazy finish to that romance story so confusing. All that work into Tali and then they used a stock photograph as a "face reveal" for her. People were rightfully mad and the devs were rightfully ashamed, although they barely did anything to fix it (apparently the decision to reveal her face was made very late in the dev cycle and no one had actually finalized what the Quarians were supposed to even look like under their masks at that point, so in a pressured crunchy rush they just went with "slightly modified human face").
I remember Minthara start romance was quite good. Tho i hear now it got changed for full release
I think we need a medical study done on the people who romance laezel, they clearly belong to a very unique demographic
Man likes woman. Woman like man.
Man finds new woman. Leave old woman.
New woman not like old woman.
Man is alone.
Shocker.
The githyanki are basically cloned from Star Trek's Klingons. There is a large demographic of nerds who like Klingons. Her "female is dominant during s*xual courtship" behavior is even pulled straight from Klingon-isms.
I don't know how others don't see this, but Lae'zel looks like Kate Mara and so I totally understand why people would find her attractive.
