Astarion sexually harasses and bullies you and you should actively do something against it

The fact that Astarion keeps calling the main character Darling and there is nothing you can do about it except killing him is already well known.

Despite that some people on this forum claim that kind of behaviour is somehow tolerable or acceptable.

In order to help especially younger people who may or may not visit this forum i will now quote the wikipedia article on harassment:

Actually any term of endearment is considered sexual harassment if it can be interpreted as such. I've seen people fired from their jobs for using the term "chick" to refer to a girl whose name he did not know, he didnt even say it to her, she wasnt even in the room. But it was still deemed sexual harassment by a 3rd party. I've also seen a man, a husband, fired for sexual harassment, of his wife, because they blew eachother a kiss. That happened.

Its also important to keep in mind, Astarion is widely adopted by the lgbtq community, anything he does therefore cannot be considered sexual harassment, because Astarion is always right.

Correction: "If you use it as such," calling someone a name they do not like could be potential workplace harassment but someone simple calling another a title said person does not like is not sexual harassment. Looking at your stories, and I don't disbelieve them, you gotta focus on the legal definition, not what some HR freak that should be fired for gross incompetence thinks. you're correct about the second one though.

anyway OP sorry you have to deal with this ♥♥♥♥, sadly it's across every single companion. I've been shown enough shots of every character doing this now that I can say, it's across character. Gale may even be glitched in addition to this.

Harassment is in the eye of the beholder. If it’s unwelcome to you, then it is harassment. That is a valid feeling to have and you can react as you see fit. Leave him at camp, ignore him, kill him, kick him out, sell him out, quit the game altogether. whatever you feel is appropriate for you.

as for the term homophobe and why it's a silly label is: phobe comes from the word phobia , which means = an irrational fear. homophobe with how it was originally used ,is a term used to describe some one that is hateful towards gays (originally). there's litterally no actual fear involved , as hateful bigots don't seem very afraid when they go out and beat some one up. which is what the term was originally used for , hateful peopel that would go out of their way to cause untold ammounts of violence on another human simply because that human lived differently than them. it was a term used for people with very evil intent.

However , in today's world it now seems to be a catch-all for any one that is strait or grossed-out by the thought of gay sex. they don't actually have to be hateful to gays , they don't even have to be the slightest bit mean to gays.
