Trapped Man quest - Find the dowry

So, i am having trouble with this one. I saved the man and he told me about the dowry. I spoke with his dead wife and she told me it is in a barn. Im guessing i am at the right barn, as there is a haystack and there was a preception check, that my whole party failed.
Some guides are saying it is in that exact barn and i need to pass that perception check or talk to the wife, which like mentioned befor, i did.
Am i missing something? Not getting the chest out of the haystack. Tried to burn it, but that doesnt seem to work.
