I wish they would be more clear about these things. Perhaps I skipped some dialogue in a haste, but I don't think thats the case.
What can you do though, at least now you know for next playthrough.
That said, shars gauntlet sucks, except for the demon fight. Hated that dungeon.
At first, I would have thought doing a prison break would have alerted the tower, but nope. You can murder everyone in the tower, room by room, and the only time enemies in other areas respond is if you get to close. I cleaned out the entire prison/ground floor of the tower/first floor of the tower on one save just to see. Each room was its own fight.
In the process, I killed a few people.
I'm now wondering if I can go back there and attempt to kill everyone, before I finished Temple of Shar, which I have started.
I have See Invisible permanently on Gale. A few times now, people have still managed to go invisible on me. Does that mean they have a saving throw or something like that? One was the Warden in Darkmoon.
and then i realize "Wait did the prisoners run off or die? i didnt find any bodies.... oh hey Zevlor... oh no... OH GOD NO!"
i think i have to rewind like what? 6, 8 Full hours???? Larian JUST EDIT THE TEXT pls
Yes but i thought you will miss out on random small quests on the field and NOT Moonrise.
here listen to my logic. i do Shar, remove big boss immortality and get help and while moonrise is in chaos, i go to the dungeons and save everyone
you know like what i did in Act 1. i went all the way to Minthara start her attack on Grove. and betray her on the spot. if this acted like Act 2 then when i arrive at Grove i would see it burning to the ground.
BG3 is the rare game where your actions and decisions really DO matter.
Good Luck Going Forward :)
Infiltrate the cult, pretend you are one of them, learn what you can, acquire the goodies from the vendors, and find info about the nightsong as well. then run off to the gauntlet to get the full story.
This is a problem I had entering act 3, no clear path to which order to do anything before getting locked out of everything else.
Act 1 literally goes down the same way Act 2 does.
