Is there parental controls in this game? If I buy and let my kids play it is there forced scenes that show homosexuality? I do not want my kids to see any of that.

Like turning off when characters insinuate sex, dialouge options to further pursue that behavior?

Seems like a fun game but I'm only going to buy it for them and myself if we can have the option for a more simple dialouge choices like "want to be friends and help save the world? Great!" and that be it.

This game is not for children. That's clear on the Steam store page. It's intended for mature audiences. To demand it to be something it's not is really strange.
Also, are you not worried about the premise of the game - only sexuality? Being kidnapped by literal eugenicist aliens and having your mind hijacked by their weird slugs... does that seem like it's OK for children to engage with?
How about the violence and the blood? The talk about pillaging and murdering and so on.
This game is not for children...

Nothing wrong with waiting some years until your children grow up and are able to engage with this sort of content.
The game will probably even better in a few years, given how Larian tends to add a bunch of stuff to it over time for free.

Exactly. Take some steps to be a responsible parent instead of trying to make everyone else adhere to your own political doctrines. If you're afraid that your kids will stop believing in your world view simply by knowing that homosexuality exists, then your convictions don't hold water.

But what if it's a mislabel? Like "apples ARE apples", but a viewpoint can be immediately dismissed or understood without clarification.

Example: I like BG3, but I want the 3 gay males in my party to treat me like a friend platonically. not be relegated to a piece of meat or treat them like a ♥♥♥♥, like how actual adult interactions between gay men and straight civilly associate with one another.
