Right, but rests and such are fine?
Yeah your alright with rests as long as you dont proceed into the nightsong's prison; the moment you do anything that you have not finished by then will end resulting in alot of deaths/quests ending. You will be warned beforehand that you are at a point of no return so you will know to stop and go back and clean up everything you want.
Oh no. Please keep bringing these up. I'd appreciate discussions to be full of help/guides rather than how woke their brains are. I've already had several help requests buried in the torrent of stupid.
Not sure about long rest time limits but I know a few "change the world" events/advice. Some minor spoilers because I don't know how to give advice while hiding it.
1. When you get to the inn, do NOT talk to the glowing girl holding the barrier. It will trigger an attack which leads to people getting captured. I'm not sure how this will affect the world but do it last I guess?
2. Moonrise tower is NOT a "hostile faction". Like the goblin camp from before, sneak in, do your quests, get out. You have a rescue thieflings quest there. They were relatively safe in prison even after a few long rests. I did not start (3) until I was sure my map was mostly devoid of quest markers.
3. Shadowheart's personal quest is part of the main story. It also involves you jumping into a pool of water. It MIGHT change something in Moonrise Tower but more importantly, it erases all your previous area waypoints. So you are stuck at Act 2 for life. Keep this quest for last. There is a warning before jumping into the pool so don't worry so much.
4. There is a group of dead thieflings near the inn. I don't think they can be saved since I got "save every thiefling refugee" achievement and they are deader than dead.
5. Rolan gets attacked near the river, near Moonrise Tower. He might need saving, I don't know. I kind of found him by accident. He did some ranting back at inn before that, which may be needed to trigger the event.
6. Halsin has a quest here. Talk to him at camp. Also bring AoE spells with you. I recommend Hunger of Hadar.
7. Zevlor can't be saved until after you beat Thorm the first time. Just ignore it.
8. The little thiefling girl, Arabella's parents cannot be saved, as I have the "save every thiefling refugee" achievement and they are deader than dead. God I love this achievement so much. It tells me I did nothing wrong xD.
9. Back to the attack on the inn. Mol gets captured. She can't be saved. Don't worry about it.
I didn't need that many spoilers, man
And now you even broke my heart
so much this I lost a few hours because I thought I would rescue them on the way to kill Kethric.
I didn't want to start a fight in the prison while I'm supposed to be 'on their side'. I figured it'd make the whole castle aggro on me before I had time to see where the story went. Then when it became clear we were doing a siege, I figured I'd get them out then.
Nope, they're just gone. Journal says 'they probably didn't survive the siege'. Ah well, reload an earlier save and try again. And it's worth it, the robe Alvira gives you is insane for a sorc.
Who forced you to read them?
Also, not time sensitive as far as I know. I've long rested 5-6 times and nothing bad happened during my playthrough
