Act 3 is awful

I was addicted during acts 1 and 2, but I’m not even sure I can finish Act 3. It’s buggy, boring and lame.

The story pacing is disjointed and anticlimactic. Adding two new villains that are non-existent through 99% of the first two is meaningless clutter that destroys the suspense surrounding the absolute. It also feels like I have to keep making the same (what I thought were major) decisions over and over again.

It’s ridiculous that 90% of the named characters in the city have a single line of dialogue and no meaningful interactions. I can’t believe Larian had the nerve to hype the city and the character count. Unless I to decide to fight the guards, there is hardly any combat compared to the first acts.

The other major disappointment is the equipment/stores. Deep into Act 3 and half of my equipment is the same boring stuff I’ve been using since Act 1. Got excited to buy a very rare bow only to examine it and discover it was significantly worse than by blue bow from act 2.

It’s good but yeah unfinished and the worst part I can tell there’s a lot of cut content. There was originally going to be an upper city to explore etc. but they couldn’t release it in time. Also so many things happening on the streets but you can’t interact with any NPCs or make any choices, so weird

I can't believe they had so many years of community subsidized early access and it was still so bad

If you are using stuff from Act 1 and you are in Act 3 you really have not explored much. The only thing I have on my characters from act 1 is one piece of my warlocks armor, everyone else has brand new everything. There are TONS of great armors and weapons around this game world.

I got to Act 3 and then installed Wrath of the Righteous.
If BG3 did anything right, it's that it made me truly appreciate what Owlcat did with Wrath.

How? That stuff is only +1. You find way better items almost immediately after Grymforge.

I mean, WotR is the best CRPG ever made. But I still like BG3 because it has actually exciting items. Which is my major gripe with WotR. The items in that game are boring as hell.

**slight spoilers***

since starting act 3 I explored a circus with a familiar Djinn, got ambushed by a killer clown, made my way down to a cove and helped a thieves guild against attackers, refused a deal with a devil, killed a prostitute dopple-ganger, watched an inauguration, pick-pocketed a temple guard then killed him, robbed the coffers in the temple basement and got ambushed by 4 angels. I'm having a blast tbh. Enjoying it all.
