Personally, after having my arse handed to me for weeks in EA, then getting stomped on by 20 MISSES in a row for 40 hours of game play until I hit level 5 or so... you bet I am taking 12 attacks in a row as raging revenge against the dice that oppressed me early on.
Why is Larian FORCING me to use a potion of speed?! It's so GAME BREAKING.
Just don't use the potion lmfao
BG3 is a storybook/movie.
I've that meme somewhere. Wizard taunts fighter telling him he's useless... fighter just looses a series of arrows and kills the wizard in one turn....
Fighters are strong. They're dumb but they do deliver in the damage department.
The developers did a terrible job of balancing the game economy and gave the player access to way too many powerful resources.
You don't have to break the game to play. Games all ready easy without doing that. I don't use shove or haste at all in my game. It's a choice to cheese the game or not.
They had to give the players a bunch of busted stuff so the 90% of single digit IQ players can still beat the game. Have you seen how many threads we have of people who cant even figure out how to hit enemies? Theres one up right now saying the witch is IMPOSSIBLE
Shield and mage armour never stopped a mid level fighter. You might have better chance if that was mirror image or better blindness.
i give you one better.
Rogue 2 (the one with 2 bonus action)
Gloom stalker 8
Fighter 2
Dual wield crossbows.
20dex
dip in poison pre fight (like a 1d10 poison)
dip in fire if you do not already have fire damage (1d4 fire)
make sure you have morning lord glory (1d4 radiant)
Use necrotic gloves (+1d4 necro)
ideally one or both your xbow also have +1d4 something.
use speed potion (2 actions)
use a bloodlust elixir (refresh 1 action per kill per round)
use perma advantage on attack ring
and you have picked the sharpsooter perk (+10 base damage
Engage with sneak attack = 2d6+5+3d4+1d10+10= 21-49
then the second attack of that action = 1d6+5+3d4 = 19-33
get the free attack from gloomstalker = 19-33.
now that was only first attack ... now second attack rounds totals 38-66
and no ... it's not over, now you also have 2 bonus action for your off hand crossbow, so another 38-66 damage.
but you know the best, you can also use elemental arrows on TOP of that damage (once per full action) want to know the best one ? multi target arrow, it will hit 3 more target for 50% damage.
now you just did about what ... 135-247, 50% of that on 3 other target. so let's say 337-617
and you still get one action back after kill.
not counting crits... but with the proper gear they do happen a lot.
also not to be mean but you get less than 10 total potion of speed in the whole game, so ... use them sparingly. who knows you might need them in some timed missions... or some end game boss.
to be fair, i 1 turned several boss of the act 3.... without using any consumable at all. just the base stuff i had on my team and their skills.
but if you want to go for the stupidest burst possible single target, you can't beat the build i mentioned
