This game is not self aware about how perverted it is towards the player

As the player, you’re unable to acknowledge just how perverted the world youre living in is, just how perverted your companions are, and you have zero choice of allies who aren’t constantly hitting you with innuendo - with the same sex companion dialogues suffering the worst of it.

You’re forced into this hyper prurient adventure without choice. It’s utterly oversexed without knowing it is, making you cringe with each instance of fanfic level innuendo Youre forced to suffer through.

This isn’t about “bigotry” or whatever is being said by people defending these writing choices - this is like if Jeffrey dahmer wrote all the companion dialogue for this game.

Larian should patch this - the folks saying it isn’t a problem are weird and wrong.

In other game I get involved in world where people kill millions of other people for barely any reason shoot at each other or go around assassinating and you can play the bad guy how is this morally acceptable to play a bad guy that kill people

This, I too am coming to the conclusion that these romances are not triggering properly

I turned Gale down 4 separate times in my play-through, I even had to turn Wyll down in Act 2 even though I literally never once interacted with him. I had to apologize to Halsin for coming on too strong at the party even though I did not so much as speak to Halsin at the party. Lae'zel claims I have spent too much time falling in love with Shadowheart but my character has been in a relationship with Karlach and only Karlach since early Act 1, and in early Act 1 Karlach confessed to being madly in love with me despite having barely met me.

I find it a little bit funny how horny my companions are but I don't enjoy it as a part of roleplay or game mechanic. I see it in a humorous way. But I agree, it is way too much.

I wish there was a setting to switch romance off completely. Or maybe switch off same/opposite gender romance optionally. I guess we depend on mods to fix again.

Dude didn't mention gay people at once, not once did he attack us or call us woke. He said the companions are perverts and since after the third time I turned him down Gale offered to strip me naked and rub my belly I kind of have to agree that Gale may be a slut.

I still stand by the idea that the well documented glitch about cutscenes and romance triggers is causing the issue more often than not.
