Karlach + Wyll introduction was painful to watch, but I fixed it.

Honestly some of the most painful writing I have witnessed in a game after meeting Karlach before Wyll. The overly cheerful Karlach is automatically our best friend for life within seconds of talking to her.
Yeah lets go kill some random folk together, why not.
Wyll is barely introduced before he is living in our camp... He arrives wanting to kill Karlach but 2 dialogue options later he has done a 180 and rolls over like a dog. (I guess since he sneaked in to our camp we may as well keep him around)
If he thought Karlach was evil I wonder what he will make of Astarion...

Oh and this dialogue is the first time my main character is referred to as 'the leader'? Well that's nice to get acknowledged at least.

So I reloaded, and decided to mess about looking for a better introduction for Karlach and Wyll, I went and recruited Wyll, sent him to the camp, THEN I went and recruited Karlach.
It was hilarious having them both in the camp but having never spoken to each other...
I then take a long rest and we start the Karlach + Wyll introduction BUT THIS TIME IT'S SO MUCH BETTER! Not only are we all in our 'Pyjamas' but Karlach & Wyll's lines in this scenario are much better than the first time.

Alot of the writing is kinda tone deaf. Namely in act 2 I noticed alot

LOL i remember that, he went on this entire tirade finding this devil and killing her, than you find her few dialogue choices later there BFFs.

Of course my dialogue choices didn't help but that alone should of told him look "help me kill this fiend or I'm out"

It is really silly, but to be fair, she is clearly a tiefling, and not a demon, which Wyll should be able to tell apart.

Yeah, the pacing of this game leaves a lot to be desired. They throw all the companions together right away unless you're unlucky enough to miss finding one or two of them.

What's more painful to watch is how they massacred both of their stories in Act 3 because they didn't want to have to compete against Starfield for a time slot.

My first playthrough was a mess because I took a wide berth around the 'glitching out portal' and so never met Gale... So I was thoroughly confused after 30 hours of messing around without having him around to spout exposition.
