What's the point of See Invisibility if it's just not gonna work?
I love the game and I hate to be a dumb dnd perfectionist but this is the only thing that bothers me. In regular DND, the spell does exactly what it says in its name, but in BG3 it only seems to work sometimes..? What? Do the enemies have an ANTI-see invisibility cloak that I'm just not aware of? Where can I buy the ANTI-ANTI see invisibility goggles? It's like a third grader made this rule up and I'm just going have to roll with it.

Is this a "Tactician" difficulty rule? I don't understand.

I've had about 50/50 of passing and failing for both my characters and NPCs so I think it's working as intended. I'm playing on balanced though and haven't tried tactician.

^ this, it does work but entity that's invisible needs to fail a roll in order to be seen.

Being able to see invisible enemies and enemies engaged in hiding are different things. Then you have those enemies in act 2 where they are not technically invisible and only visible when illuminated.

An enemy called yurgir (not sure if I spelled that right) goes invisible every turn and every turn it say his check failed and he's seen but he just remains invisible. What gives
I never had it proc properly. That being said, it does allow for meta gaming. It's rather dumb, but they show the enemy roll on their location. You can then just blast them with an AoE to make them visible.

its completely broken. even when i succeed the roll with (seen) it doesnt reveal them

See invisible does not work. I've seen enemies briefly and then they disappear again (so you can't attack them). The only way to deal with invisible enemies is to use Aoe attacks. This needs to be changed even though Larian seems to like invisible enemies. By 5e rules invisible creatures still need a hide action and roll to be undetected (otherwise they can be attacked by melee and ranged attacks at disadvantage). See invisible in Bg3 isn't even as good as regular 5e invisibility rules. At this time its is useless.

Note that while a creature that has see invisible sees an invisible creature, the invisible creature cannot hide its presence similarily as if it was a visible creature in plain sight.

Enemy does a roll, if he wins you fail to see him in his invisibility - more RNG, because THAT is FUN.

Drop AOE attacks on the ground where you think the invisible enemies are. They'll take damage and maybe fail the save to stay invisible.

Enemies don't function by the same rules as you.

They can detect an invisible rogue PC hiding with massive bonuses (pass without trace, advantage, etc) at a distance, while your characters standing next to a light source with see invisibility will fail to see enemies until the enemies decide they are allowed to be seen.

Like a number of things, the AI just kind of does what it wants and you get to play around the busted mechanics.

Being invisbile is not the same as being hidden. An invisible creature that takes damage remains invisible.

To you. Don't tell other people what is fun, you don't speak for everyone. The fact that using invisibility yourself is completely useless, as enemies automatically detect you, is not fun.
