Anti-Paladin/Blackguard possible?
Had this game since Beta, but haven't played the new stuff.
Seeing as it's 5e, how possible is it to play a Blackguard / 'Anti-Paladin' in it? Some Lawful-Evil Black Knight kind of vibes.

I don't particularly want to just play a Fighter or Cleric multiclass just to get some holy powers, though.

And I know there's some pretty golden Paladin armor, but is there anything more befitting?
I'm hesitant to start looking stuff up for spoilers.

Thanks in advance.

If you're looking for a evil paladin it's Oathbreaker. Just pick ancient or devotion oath as they are the easiest to break.

Need I be LG and work my way down to LE, or is the alignment restriction relaxed?

There's no Alingments in-game.

Ancient or Devotion oath are simply the easiest to break, Oath of Vengeance is the hardest.

Vengeance is pretty easy to break as well. Just choose not to punish a criminal, and bam, oath broken. I multiclassed into Paladin in Act 2, and quite literally broke my oath in the very next conversation without even meaning to.

That's pretty weird cause i choose not to punish a criminal in act 1 and i didnt break my Oath which is why i am very confused.
Ofc i am now in act 3 and still didnt break my oath.

For Vengeance Pally - You can do that in Act1, 1st encounter with Tieflings. Just go for evil ending (for them).

This, though the alignment restriction for paladins was removed in 4th edition
