Not that I agree with the OP's take on this game. I just find that amusing.
"The narrative lacks the depth and intrigue that the Baldur's Gate series was once known for. " Subjective, but I'd agree are elements from BG 1/2 just feel grittier and writing in general is better.
"Furthermore, the game's combat system is a mess." Not really, from reading rest of paragraph not trying to be rude, but practice makes perfect. Is it clunky in ways? sure, but overall it is engaging and I at least hardly find it confusing, but I also know 5e very well and take full advantage of fact it is turn based without a timer and there's an examine function.
"In conclusion, Baldur's Gate 3 is a far cry from the legacy of its predecessors."
ehhhh, subjective statement again. Also totally looking at this with rose tinted glasses, like are you aware of how many bugs, issues, and QoL things the EE editions added and even then patched themselves? None of these games are perfect and all have their bugs and issues.
"I can't even believe so many people are loving this game," I guess if dislike it this much sure, but like I find it hard to believe anyone using the first games, as someone himself who LOVES them to death and will prob play all 3 now in order till day he does on and off again over the years, as a comparison point cannot see the merit of this game.
