It just lets you jump around any distance without fall damage. It's like combining Enhanced Leap, Bull's Strength, and Feather Fall into one spell.

You use the spell, or scroll, or potion, or item, there's a button that appears on the right side of your ability bar, you click it and now your character is flying, click on where you want him or her to fly to. Don't spend to much time flying however, the spell runs out and death by falling is very common in this game.

You cast fly on the person of choice (or in the case of a Storm Sorcerer, you just cast it) and then you can move in a specific area without terrain restrictions.
You don't get to actually levitate.

activate ability and click a place you want to go.

if you using storm sorc, it doesnt activate automatically after casting a spell. you have to click the button on the right side of your action bar.

Oh, Thank you *so much* for this thread... I *really* expected the Fly spell to activate when cast; I had no indication that I had to cast it *onto* someone, then select that person, then execute the Fly spell again for that person... this was driving me *nuts*, I thought the spell didn't work...
