Welcome to the Multiverse!

I recommend to you D&D Beyond for the way how easy to get into - no need to pay for anything unless you actually want something. And seeing what is available there you can easily switch to wikis, fanpages, YouTube channels and so on, and realise: there is quite a lot depending where and when you like to start.
Take for example Critical Role who really got a surprising popularity over the time, already gotten their own cartoon series. D&D can play in many different worlds, planes, dimensions, etc.
There is even Rick & Morty D&D, did you know? That adventure is so hilarious with the right DM!
I recommend comics *ehm* the connoisseur might want me to say "graphic novels"... graphic novels? that does not sound right... comics it is!
The saga around Delina, Minsc & Boo, Krydle, Shandie and Nerys is such a delight read. And they also adress adventure books too - Infernal Tides e.g. is based on the Avernus adventure. Mindbreaker ~ you can tell by the name already, right?
My personal tip: be picky and pick what seem most interesting to you. Not everything is good quality and D&D has seen dark times as well, almost every round number edition... have fun exploring and happy adventuring!
I wonder if the Baldur's Gate novel is actually good. I got it recently but have not read it yet...
Part 1 of the Avatar saga, around the 'Time of Troubles'
My first BG3 character is a Drow dual-wielding swords :D
Planescape: Torment happens in the same universe but at a planar nexus city called Sigil (Sig-gil) and it's jam packed with Forgotten Realms goodies.
