Blue Jay quest bug?

Hi, I took the quest from the bird to kill the eagles for his nest. I've killed them but he just asks why I haven't done it yet. Am I missing an extra step? There were just the two on top of the monastery right?

I am having the same issue with this quest.

I killed the eagles before ever finding the Blue Jay and when I talk to the blue jay he is convinced that I have yet to kill them, I have even tried dropping the Eagles dead bodies in front of the Blue Jay and he still didn't care

I'm guessing we both broke the quest tracking/progression in our saves somehow

According to this video If you pick up the quest before killing the eagles, the Blue jay will fly up to it's nest automatically when the eagles die, you don't have to go back to the cliff

Hopefully Larian to get it fixed though the reward isn't too special, just a chest with basic loot

Hopefully not, but If the blue jay is in it's original spot for you too then quest glitched for you as well, If your quest properly updated the Blue jay should be waiting for you at the big nest on the roof

Agreed. I even went so far to knock all 6 of them down and that evil little bird killed them on the spot!!

Had the eagles simply provided me with several of their feathers of their own volition then I would have stayed my hand, but they could not be bothered to prune a few for my troubles and so I took it upon myself to do the plucking. I, being the stalwart and noble individual I am, waited patiently until more of the eagles were summoned to our rooftop battle, that I may maximize my harvest of both downy and experience.

When you take on the Eagles, the first turn, they Cry for Help, which brings in more eagles. My guess is that if you kill them before the reinforcements arrive, and do not therefore kill the reinforcements, the quest will get stuck.

I played this trhough twice the first time it worked. The two eagles call more over and you end up kllling them all. This time I killed the two birds before they called. Now the Bluejay thinks there are still eagles. and it's glitched.

Not a fan of having incomplete quests in my quest book. So I hope they fix this.

But the chest is easy enough to find even without the Blue Jays help. It only tells you about the location of something you may have already rolled to try and find.

And if your group all fail the roll to find it, you can always just dig manually in the correct spot anyways.

It isn't even the damn Blue jays nest so if you just want the quest to be gone, just murder the lil bugger.

bugged even killing the eagles without cry for help. If you want to remove the quest in your journal just kill the blue jay.

I talked to Blue Jay before killing the eagles but nothing happens, even when I went back to talk to Blue Jay.

After killing the eagles, the blue jay should appear at the nest.

If it doesn't, and no mods are installed, take the save file and report this issue.

I'm having the same issue. I've killed the 2 eagles that are required for the quest and brought the bodies to the blue jay's feet and he still believes that they cant be killed.
