Busker Achievement
It says to collect 100 gold while playing a musical in a single playthrough. I have collected just 5 by now at the end of Act 1.

Without any spoilers, can anyone let me know some place name where it can be achieved faster in Acts 2 & 3 ?

Thanks !:BEmockery:

Just get the bard Hireling, give her expertise in performance and max out CHA. Cast Enhance Ability (cha ofc) on her and run around populated areas busking.

Your achievement progress won't always update promptly until you get the last one, so just keep going.

I have the same problem. I started a new game for the bard. I gave all the gold to Astarion and began to perform music in the first act. There are already more than 100 gold pieces in my pocket. I got gold only by playing the violin. But the achievement counter in STEAM is at 0/100 and the achievement is not received.

It's the "in a single playthrough" part of the achievement that is causing issues ?

This is not hard to farm and doesn't need a guide to click to read.

The two taverns in Act 3 are perfect if you got to late game and want to farm it quickly.
I recommend changing class using Withers to Bard and adjusting your stats to just make it go faster.
Start performing and when you get a success or failure message you can stop. If you got success you can just pick up the coins that are tossed your way.
Return to camp.
Leave camp, yes, even without resting.
Repeat.

Don't bother doing it until you get to act 3. You can get all 100 within a few minutes thanks to how populated and dense Baldur's Gate is.

Eh... it's not that easy. There may be a lot of bodies in Act 3, but only the ones you can talk to and are marked on the map will drop gold.

If you're a bard throughout the game, sure get it piece meal. If you're not a bard, just do what I said in post 20 in act 3.

And yes, I know you can get Perform as a non-bard. You'll still fail more, probably. Depending on stats.

In Act 1 you could play for emerald grove lower and upper floors for a good bit of gold, then go to the goblin camp and play at the front gate, in the outer courtyard and then inner courtyard. For Act 2, the last light inn and the moonrise towers. Act 3, the entire city is free game to play. The achievement seems bugged though and might only count gold given to the bard class.

Can you repeat perform and get coin in the same locations? Or is it pointless to try to farm a particular location continuously?

Also, does it have to be your MC performing?

Going to camp and leaving camp works. You don't have to rest IIRC, but try it. I don't think you do, but I did this trophy a while ago.

No, it is that easy. You can easily get 7-10 gold a song depending on where you try it. More if you do it in a tavern and pass the performance check.

Thanks! I would've hated my MC to have to take up Bard for a stupid Achievement! ;)

You could just do it on a separate save or swap to bard and then back. Or use a hireling.

There is one more annoying bug with this.

If you play in a populated zone like say The elfsong tavern, make sure you have completed all quests nearby or atleast talked to all npcs once.

What happens is sometimes these NPCs leave their place to listen to my song and then drop coins too but after the song is over, they don't go back to their own locations and sometimes bugs out too.

Suffered this fate when I played a song at the circus gate in Act 3 before entering it. In order to enter the circus you have to talk to the NPC at the door and he bugged out after my song for some reason.

Had to restart to fix that :steamfacepalm:

I experienced this as well. Good call out.
