Photo mode Mod but is paid !? Is this allowed ?
I wanted to know if the game had a photo mode, so I looked it up myself and all I found was a mod, a paid mod...To download you need to subscribe to the mod creator's patreon.

Is this allowed?

If need, i can provide the link, I don't want to spread this kind of thing without knowing if they have permission to sell a mod.

And does anyone know if Larian Studios intend to launch an official photo mode?

Depends on larian’s stance.

For total war warhammer games most deff not allowed, but neither is any other IP, and that’s only cos GW is hyper protective of their properties/assume to avoid any extra legal paper work. No one really knows real reason why GW is like that but point being; it depends on individual dev and be first I’m hearing of larian having a stance.

Sucks tho I’ll agree, as a modder myself I believe pay walling content to be a bit of an odd take but if no rules against it, that’s the modders choice.

Probably not allowed, posting this to the official Larian Discord would get better attention from the appropriate people.

I've seen lots of paid adult mods, costumes etc. I have no idea the legality of any of it. I guess it depends on the company. Nintendo would sue your ass into guantanamo bay.

Press F10, it hides the UI entirely.

Use the camera mod (which is FREE) to be able to adjust the camera better.

Works as a photo mode.

Imagine actually trying to buy a mod that is more likely than not stolen from nexus lol

That depends on nature of mod, if you mean the generic patreon photomode by Francis Bouma (if i recall the name correctly), then it's fully legal because it's 100% custom code that legally just "happens" to alter functioning of a game.

If the mod was made using developer provided SDK, their assets, code or whatever then it'd fall under their EULA, by which point it would be pretty hard to monetize the mod, or at least fully paywall it.

That's mostly likely a scam. If not, it's still pathetic.

The developers themselves have spoken out in favor of it, actually.
Sven Vincke himself said about it "This is so good" in his tweet as seen here.

GamesRadar had a story[www.gamesradar.com] about it a few days ago.

The worst part about mods isn’t getting them to work, it’s the mod creators themselves. Some of them are cool but some of them are just the worst.
