No tadpole option for Karlach?!
So either she's naturally against it with no way to chat her about it or I somehow managed to make her decide against it.
Either way, there is no chat option with her to talk about the tadpole powers.
Am I stuck with an 'unbuffed' Karlach now? Or maybe I have to progress her infernal engine quest first before she will talk about tadpole?
Thanks for advice.

Mine is willing and I have done only 1 quest step in her quest. I also had to convince her through the dialogue option.

Oh no, don't tell me I'm stuck with the unenhanced version now :(

Karlach is mostly cut content and what she has doesn't work sometimes

The option might come back at some point in the future.

For me it's the opposite...
My main character doesn't have tadpole powers, only Astarion has....And I currently side with "not using the powers"....
Why is it that when I talk to Karlach about tadpoles I am unwillingly pushed towards persuading her to use the powers...
There's no "leave dialogue" option, no agreeing with her about not using the powers...
Is this a bug?

FYI I played through now more than once and if you fail to convince companions of tadpole once, that's it. No way to get them to use 'em later in the game.
This is a massive game design flaw since in reality you would fight on, they see you use your powers, there should at least be 2 or 3 more times before the end where you can try and convince them. Yes yes, you can save-cheese it, well done Sherlock, I meant it's bad design because game should allow you to re-try it without scumming.
Bad bad design. Anyway, no-tad-pole run coming up next :)

I came here for the same reason, 3 persuasion options, all of them comes down to "c'mon! power good yea?" like wtf?

I mean too be fair, if i was at risk of turning into a Mind Flayer in exchange for some fancy powers, i wouldn't care how much of an edge it gives someone, ain't no way in the nine hells i'd risk it, no matter what kind of honeyed words you'd try to use throughout the journey to convince me that it's super cool and super safe.

If it still works, the worst case scenario is you have to wait for the Astral Worm. Then put it in her inventory and use it like any other item. It'll force the dialogue and give you the option to use it for the upgrade. It'll open up the tree and give them the ability to fly.

I managed to work around this issue. The bug occurs when you speak to her after using the first tadpole and waited a bit after that. If you talk about the tadpole to her, she will be excited about getting one but on the tadpole screen she is described as hesitant.

Instead, get her into your party and go to the tadpole screen. She will be hesitant as well, but when you talk to her afterwards you get the persuasion option.
If you succeed, she will no longer be hesitant.
