worked for a day but now unable to save again. Tried deleting saves, didn't work until I got under 30 total save files. Boo.
1. Move my larian directory from its location in Appdata\Local\Larian Studios (let's say it's at "C:\full\path\to\original\Appdata\Local\Larian Studios" ) to another drive where i had more space (let's call it W:\cool\path\here\Larian Studios)
2. Open a command prompt in admin mode
3. Run the command:
mklink /d "C:\full\path\to\original\Appdata\Local\Larian Studios" "W:\cool\path\here\Larian Studios"
Then the game will use the Larian Studios directory there thinking it's in the original location.
That is so rare, no one would usually think of that.
excuse me, can u help.
my cmd says "Cannot create a file when that file already exists."
Same here, I deleted down a boatload of saves and I got 2 more saves out of it then back to this.
this might have something to do with selling. maybe overloading vendors with gear? I had just finished act 2's big bad boss fight and was selling an army's worth of junk to a vendor and as soon as I finished the transaction that error comes up.
Indeed. I have plenty of space. Clearly a post Patch 3 problem.
It's the same for me - buying/ selling seems to cause the issue
