How do you use the blink spell?
Seems like a fun spell to protect yourself, but I didn't get the point of using it while it is being so costly (level3 spell slot)
It lasts for 10 turns but once you blink, you cannot come back to attack, only if you stop the spell?
Am I missing the point, or is it just a way to disangage and run away from comabt?

You rematerialize at the beginning of each of your turns, then there's a 50% chance you dematerialize again at the end of your turn.

It essentially makes you invulnerable 50% of the time, on average.

Oooh, I might have completely misunderstood what was going on
I thought my guy was gone till the end of the battle so I broke the spell xd
Gotta try it again, thanks for answering!

I tried it in one fight and scrapped it after it barely procced. A 50% chance to be protected is not a good use of the spell slot, imo. My character would having thrown an extra fireball at their enemies and doing guaranteed damage than praying for protection.

For protection, I much prefer Sanctuary. Way cheaer, and way more reliable.

I love this spell! Yes, it's not 100% reliable, but 50% chance of invulnerability is a great thing in my book. And it gives a little bit of mobility on top with 20ft teleportation at the start of the turn. But I agree it's a bit expensive. I prefer using scrolls of it

It is however a bit bugged at the moment, because the "avatar" you move to represent where you'll blink back to at the start of your next turn ... is actually vulnerable to AoE damage. At least falling statues is comfirmed on my part, in the goblin camp one of the scout cast "detect presence" and then someone toppled a stature over my sorcerors head ... who supposedly is safe in the ethereal realm until the beginning of their next turn....
