Drow = Evil Playthrough?
Hello Folks,

I like to play as a Drow, but want to play still nice & friendly, taking sidequests and helping people in danger.

But the Drow and there religions seems very dark and evil.
Can i play Drow with a good alignment and how will the Drow Religion affect my playthrough?

Iirc you can play as a Seldarine drow which is a good drow. This was available in EA and believe it has made it through to the full release/

My Drow is good aligned, but I do get some very cool Drow only options

You have the same basic option with every race but the drow has some options like "It's fun killing children". But you can use the good option at the same time

There is Seldarine drow subrace and... there is no alignment so it will be just unique race lines occasionally.

This right here. Seladrine drow veered away from Lolth because of all the evil things she commanded her followers to do unlike Seladrine, who is a good-aligned goddess.
There's even specific voicelines for this subrace informing people about the difference

You can. There are even options to proclaim that 'not all drow like that' (both as Seldarine and as a Lolth-Sworn) when someone says that you're probably going to cause trouble (not in every dialogue, but I got it a couple of times). Also, in case you're worried about hostility, no one's going to attack you on sight just because you're a drow.

Imagine wanting to roleplay in a roleplaying game.

there is no such thing as alignment in this game

i play a lolth drow and do good deeds every time i feel like.
the background gives you options on how to approach a certain situation and get unique dialogue options.
so if you want to be full blown evil.
do it.
if you wanna go the drizzt way, be good.
it's an RPG the choices are all yours to take.
every choice is valid.

A fun thing is if you play Half-Drow. Surface races consider you a Drow and don't trust you, Underdark races consider you a Surface race and don't trust you. Half-Drow truly don't belong to either world and its a neat touch

you are not restricted by anything, you can play good entire game and pick evil ending at very last moment, ever if this makes absolutely completely no sense you still can do this.

there is no alligment chart, your race doesnt define your character, drows only get some extra dialogue options and very few are actually evil sided

the opposite of lolth are okay drow and eilistrae drow are prob the best of the good aligned moral.

Nah it's fine, it just that lolth drow paladin is a bunch of word that might anger your local DM
