Leaving Rosemoryn/Grymforge for the next area will make Halsin unrecruitable, and will make the True Souls leave the Goblin Camp.
As far as I'm aware, these are the only consequences. You can freely fast travel between maps, and those are the only "timed" quests in the early game, to my knowledge. For everything else, you're free to return no matter how far you are into the game.
