[SPOILERS] Spear of Night (Help!)

Hey all,

So I just got the spear of night earlier on my second playthrough in sharrs lair, only there is a problem. I equipped it early on shadowheart because its an alright spear lol, and I left the shadowlands to tie up loose ends before going into moonrise.

But....now the spear is gone? I didn't reach the inner sanctum yet to do the nightsong stuff, yet now its just gone....its feels like a major issue because that spear is "important" to character development based on if shadowheart uses it or not and I have no idea if it blocks progression if you lose it....

Does anyone know how I can get it back? ... it didn't reset to the alter or anything...

Possible that your character might have been disarmed? The weapon drop on the floor when that happen, it has to be picked back up, sometimes they don't even show up when keeping the alt button on due to camera angles.

It's sadly really a necessary item for Shadowhearts questline but not important for the main story.

Shadowheart can chose to kill or let the Nightsong alive, alive = good playthrough, kill it = bad playthrough killing the people at Harper Inn

Oh god it could be anywhere....

Do the githyanki have disarm actions/spells etc?

because I just went murder hobo on them for EXP because I went through the underdark instead..

I know exactly why I want the spear.

I am doing a "bad" playthrough right now on my sorc because I did a good one on my wizard. The whole point of the playthrough was to do the bad stuff. So the spear is important otherwise ive wasted my time....so many hours...;_;

It was on the floor in the sanctum of that githyanki leader. It was the only place I could think of.

THEY REALLY need to put "you cannot be disarmed while this is equiped" on the spear of night. Its an important story item, not mainstory but still. I don't think its right that you should be able to lose weapons like this when they're quest critical.

You worried needlessly. Shadowheart summons the spear to her hand when she needs it. After all, the designers could not know if you would even use and not sell it.

Really? Well Its not like im supposed to know that lol I had it with her on my wizard, just lost it on my sorc

A bit of a necro, but important for everyone looking this up:

Shadowherat won't teleport the spear into her hands if you leave it somewhere outside of the active party's inventory. I left the spear in the base camp chest as I wanted to sort my inventory before entering Shadowfell. You will lock yourself out of one possible outcome.
No matter what option you pick, Nightsong always says "And what do you propose to do, little Sharran? With what weapon would you take the life of an immortal?".
Shadowheart then continues to respond as if she threw away the spear.
