Paladin or Warlock
Hey guys

I can't decide between these two classes. Which one of the two is better as a charisma based class where you are excellent in combat but also great in dialogue, important checks like wisdom and intelligence, and persuasion? Also which one is grand for role-playing? Im also looking to do a chaotic good plaything or maybe even lawful good.

Might I recommend both?

If you have a fighting charisma class you can forget wisdom and intelligence check, as you can't put point everywhere.
If you want charisma wisdom and int check to be good, pick a lore bard.

This. Level 3 Warlock for Pact of the Blade for pact weapon (proficiency with any weapon with the Pact Weapon feature with added goodies), can use cha for attack+dmg modifier, no need to pump str/dex for attacks. Warlocks get quite a few dialog options for roleplaying flavor too, I would imagine paladins do as well, but unfortunately can't attest to that personally.

It depends on the rest of the party. Minor Spoilers: The frontline companions are crazy or evil, the warlock companion is more a good guy.

I don't got a paladin, sometimes missing one!

The correct answer is both. Dump STR, Pump CHA, Pact of the Blade.

Sounds fun!

There is no Paladin among your companions but there is Warlock so maybe start from paladin and then mix it with warlock for eldritch blast as It adds charisma modifier to damage later on.

Palladins can attack twice after level 4 or 5 and idk how it would work when mixed with warlock. Eldritch Blast someone and then attack another with your weapon or maybe 2 attacks and the blast another, that would be fun.

Later in game (in act 1) you could find armor that boost your dexterity to 18 and this will open up other multiclassing possibilities.

Awesome! In that case should I only start multiclassing from level 4 since I get pact of blades at level 3 as far as I understand? This being if I start off as warlock.

That depends on if you want to exploit a bug that's currently in the game. The level 5 Warlock Feat 'Deepened Pact' grants you an Extra Attack per action if you choose Pact of the Blade. This Extra Attack unintentionally stacks with a martial class's Extra Attack. So going at least Warlock 5/Paladin 5 means you will have 3 attacks per action. The last 2 levels could be used wherever, either Warlock or Paladin, or even something like Fighter for another Fighting Style and Action Surge.

I think if you want to be optimal (and I might be wrong about this, not like I min-max all to hell) you should start as paladin for medium armor proficiency, as you don't get that if you start out as warlock.

There is, but it's way later into the game and you need to take evil route for her.

You could also go Warlock 5, for Your pally, as pact of the blade upgrade at lvl 5 lets You attack again with Your pact weapon which will let You attack thrice when You get pally lvl 5, fighter 2 lets You use action surge, to attack 6 times, if You get haste from potion or spell its 9 attacks.

Lae'zel is a gith, that alone justifies crazy and evil... karlach is not evil but she's not all there sometimes. Shadowheart is a cleric of shar so... evil.

How in nine hells does Lae'zel strike You as good? Aside from her.. certain cleric of a faith that has a goal of ending the world and if I am not mistaken has a holiday with great feast in which the main and mandatory event is ritual sacrifice of priests of good faiths.
