Game is falling apart in Act 3
First two acts are flawless. No glitches, no crashes, no run ending bugs.

Enter Act 3 where I have spent upwards of 10 hrs correcting mistakes the game has made without any kind of notification. I crash every other hr now. Quests are entirely broken. Not sure what happened but this is getting bad.

***EDIT***
After completing the game I can honestly say this was one of the most disappointing endings since Mass Effect 3.
-Forced Character death
-Lackluster companion ending interactions
-Bugged interactions and end boss fight
-Quite literal Marvel Level dialogue with your love interest at the end, with a hard cut to credits
-No ending slideshow of choices made or future character choices

Idk if I'm gonna play this one again without significant revisions to the story and characters/dialogue

I'm on the fence. I'll pick up the GOTY edition if & only if Larian fixes the Karlach non ending & the bugs.

I dunno the end of act 2 leaves a sour taste in my mouth already. This insolent aasimar taking all the credit after I saved her and she wouldn't have stood a chance without me. I almost feel bad I didn't let shadowheart impale her.

thank the lord I'm not the only one who felt this way.
The moment she opened her mouth, I wish I would have gone the evil route

Well, I was ready to beat the game like 3 days ago, then ran into the iron throne bug on my paragon run. Looks like I'll just have to bite the bullet and backtrack like 15-20 hours.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. :(

I'm at the iron throne questline too and I'm honestly having a hard time powering through it just to finish the game. The whole thing feels just clunky and weird.

its also going to be the weakest act.
There will be a definitive edition in a year or two at least?

TBH DoS2 had it 10x worse. In BG3, imho, act 1 an 2 are 9/10 and act 3 is what, 7.5/10, give or take. Of course, I might be lucky I was somewhat predictable so my choices aren't being missread by the game, but they got a lot better in those years after their last game.

Hey as long as you're not bugged count yourself lucky.

I went to bite that 15-20 hour reload and it turns out it's more like 30 hours and like 80% of act 3. So yeah, this bug has kinda ruined act 3 for me. Were I playing an evil character or even doing a neutral run I could let it slide, but for my main game paragon to do so is unacceptable.

You might end up replaying those 30 hours only to hit another equal bug..

So I tried this too but ended up just continuing the most current save because no matter how far I went back there was still something else that broke the quest for me

After doing a near pure paragon run, its obvious the fun is playing a more chaotically evil character.

Literally this. I traded fixing the Asterion quest for losing out on completing the Wyll and Iron Throne quests. The fact that the game can inadvertently change your good character into an evil one based off sheer bugs alone is hilarious and sad

the worst part about this
i literally handed the ♥♥♥♥♥ over to the cultists, HAD to save her in the boss fight, and suddenly she's my friend apart from a single line about how i handed her to them. God ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ, i tried to kill her on the spot to find out she was immortal anyway. so much for choices mattering.

I have noticed more oddities in act 3 yes, some of the quest icons are not in the right place, some quests say complete, but persist *finished the murders, but it tells me to tell the victims they are in danger (but it says complete). And I still have a body even though I handed it over to that mummy! Also in the vampire quest, the werewolves kept attacking even when it was not their round. I had to reload it. And during some cut scenes, my characters became unavailable when combat started. Oh an Astarion keeps taking clothes off when combat starts, but he does leave a nice pile on the floor. Also the haunted mansion, the ghost spam invisibily to a point its insane. Despite "see invisibility and "detect invisibility". One little spook ran around for an hour with 1 hp and he would not be detected.

Now this sounds more like a feature than a bug

It was a suprise the first time, but it keeps happening. I started the vampire ascension combat and he just jumps and leaves his clothes on the ground. it seems to happen when he dashes.

i had something similiar happen - several of my companions, most notably astarion and jaheira, would switch to their camp clothing constantly.
