Connection Failed: Already connected FIX

Hey there!
Today I ran into an issue that when you share your computer and/or other computer/steam deck with a friend, you end up getting an error when you try to play a multiplayer game with them

We've finally got it to work!
You have to go into the Larion Studios folder in both devices (users/computer profile/appdata/local/larian studios/baldurs gate 3) on pc, erase all the data in the Baldur's Gate 3 folder (I recommend cutting and pasting into a folder just in case) on both devices.
Then from there your have to disable cloud sync with steam BEFORE launching the game again so it doesn't sync.
At that point you should have to agree to the licensing and what not again in Baldur's Gate 3 after launch.
There should be no save game files when you are in the main menu of Baldur's Gate 3 now. This is a good sign.
You can now join with that person.

This is an annoyance, but at least for now it has been working for me and my friend.

None of the other fixes I was reading even mentioned the cloud. I turned cloud saves off and repeated the folder delete steps, and this worked!! Thanks so much. :)

We found out now aswell that as long as you don't both log into the same device again, we were able to grab one of the 'cut and pasted' saved game files to start playing our games again, and could turn cloud sync back on and still be able to play multiplayer without the issues lol

Thanks this helped a lot, dont have to actually delete the whole folder just the contents of Player Profiles worked for me

Can some explain how to get to the player profiles on the steam deck?

* I only delete the PC files and it worked for me.

Go into desktop mode on the steam deck is my guess... Idk imma try it
