Underdark where to go to not go to act 2?

I have 2 options left one if a boat and the other is the forge. where should I go to not go on with the story?

The boat and forge are both tied to act 1. Without spoiling it for you, getting to act 2 requires taking an elevator in the Underdark. So just avoid using an Elevator you might come across, and you'll still be in Act 1.

You can safely do both without going into act 2. The warning it may give you is so that you finish the goblin conflict in the first area before moving on too far as it gets resolved on it's own if you can't be bothered.

i was so confused too as to wtf am i doing in the underdark and i haven't liberated the grove yet haha

omfg, sorry. i'm sure this is no longer a thread to care about but i was having the issue of not being able to leave the underdark (i was about to progress into act 2 without even visiting the goblin camp). im actually blind & stupid to not understand u can navigate the waypoints on the righthand side rather than just through the visual map.
