Gale wont eat the book

Okay anyone else having an issue where you can put the jewel in the book and it only has an option for astarion and when you put it in gales inventory even just opening the book then going to camp doing a long rest STILL doesnt trigger a cut scene for him to eat the book. Lol anyone run into this issue?

I don't think he eats the book in release, just EA. In EA Gale needed orange items, in release it seems most green trash is what he eats.
