You can make more than one item.. I have 2
I used it in 2 playthroughs where i reached it already and managed to get both items i wanted. But today in my strategist playthrough did i kill grym did all the steps beforehand correctly and when i used the "Eject Mold" lever did i only get the mold, not my Adamantin Splint Armor....
I also COULD NOT put a second mithril ore into the forge to try for a second item.
So i literally got NOTHING from the forge.
- First, you put your mold in the sarcophagus.
- then place your mithral orein the slot in the middle of the forge
- Pull the lever once
The forge will descend and you turn the wheel to get the lava in the forge, then turn the lever again to strike the hammer.
Once the hammer has struck, the sacrophage opens and your item is on top. There's a possible bug: the lava may not leave. So you need to switch to turn-by-turn mode, spend a few turns, and the lava will remove itself. This allows you to craft the 2nd item
I craft 2 item with the forge : Middle and heavy armor. 0 problem. Just lava bug but resolve with passing turn-by-turn and pass 3 turns.
The error is that you release the mold.
You have to follow the smithing procedure to the letter.
put in mold
put in mithral
pull lever
activate lava (wheel)
pull lever
= item will be ejected (doing anything other here might break the sequence)
Put the forge in home position (button behind lever)
eject mold
repeat smithing procedure.
If it bugs out after putting it back into the home position, leave to camp and come back.
edit: just tested it with another character who arrived at the forge and it does work without putting the forge in the home position. So only the correct sequence is needed
