Shadowheart romance problems

I finished act 1 last night but as I walked over to my main girl she rebuffed my advances and claimed we don’t see eye to eye on a lot of things and sent me away to the corner of shame and implied I should talk to Gale instead (who also rejected me)

I did everything right though, never pried into her life until she was ready to tell me, saved her on the nautiloid, learned about the swimming and orchids, etc. I literally played the same way I was rocking it in the alpha and that scored me a kiss during the tiefling party but all of a sudden she’s too good for me now? What gives? Anyone have a solution/similar issues?

You must not have had much success with women. Shadowheart is a massive slut if you challenge her ideology and make her think outside of her own understanding. You need to be clear, pragmatic, and decisive to impress her. Sometimes pretty evil too

There's still a lot you could've done that kept your approval rating low, or otherwise it could be your class? MAybe you're a selunite cleric?

Sometimes you'll get outright rejected for certain races/classes

Just because you're following the dialogue prompts, doesn't mean you get in her pants lol

I dunno, I played through as good a playthrough as I could and had to turn her down while sharing wine during Act 1

Because romance wise i haven't had any update since her "kiss and wine" scene in ACT 1, everything else so far has been simping for shar related dialogue and now her dialogue is stuck on " so this is what it feels to have butterflies in my stomach". Currently in ACT 2 and i feel her romance is on hold until i advance some more in her companion quests.

There's still a lot you could've done that kept your approval rating low, or otherwise it could be your class? MAybe you're a selunite cleric?

Well, even so, could be other stuff you've done or otherwise told her to do, don't know, we don't have a flowchart of all the decisions you made (aka not all the in camp decisions are what determine romance, a lot of dialogue outside of camp too)

The narrator was telling me she was politely waiting for me to leave and when I told her I wanted to stay she rejected me and told me there’s always next time. She stated she didn’t want to do anything because I kept grilling her about her past and kept disagreeing with her in questlines which were all lies, we actually have good approval with each other too so I don’t get it

Yeah if you keep grilling her and she isn't happy about it, then she isn't going to like you

If you're not passing the speech checks of stuff like "hey, we're in this together, I won't judge" then you're fine, but if you're not passing speech checks, it's gonna be hard

True, I went from the goblin camp straight into the underdark and just cleared out everything down there before returning for the party, I think that might have janked up the sequences a bit

Not OP, but i have a pretty high approval from her and she also rebuffed me despite not expecting we'd get along, lol. Which specific dialogue engages her romance? If you can remember.

No no, I was passing the speech checks though. Literally every choice I made I got shadowheart approves pop up in game and I was very tolerant and understanding. Like what she said I did was the complete opposite of what I was doing so it threw me through a loop

At the party, accept her invite to drink

If she tells you to back off about the questions AT ANY TIME (not just in camp), do so, unless you want to chance a persuasion check, which will either 1. fail and she gets mad 2. succeed and she is like "oh alright I suppose you're right" and you can further say "hey, I don't judge" (if you get 1, just reload if you're that desperate)

I'm in act 2 already, and I've made better progress with Karlach, Lae'zel, Gale, and Wyll but no dice on Shadowheart.

Is it still possible to catch up if I missed the wine thing? I just gave her the night orchid. I'm done for tonight but I left it at the part where I can sleep with a cooled Karlach--im wondering if doing this seals the deal with Shadowheart permanently.

I skimmed a romance guide article and thought her romance takes the longest to develop? Sleeping with her is in act 3 and starting the romance proper is act 2. I didn't digest the article that much because it was too spoiler-y for me
