If you are in the endfight you don't have to fight them. Just reach the portal.

You have to be missing something because the tutorial is actually pretty linear overall. There's a door you need to open or something. Maybe post a picture of your map or something because it's hard to say with so little information.

The healing thingy? Most rooms in the ship have one, so im guessing you are in the room you wake up in? Walk out the door?

Look on your minimap, see that icon that looks like a diamond in a circle? That's your quest marker! Follow it

There is a ladder in the upper left hand corner of the room from where you entered, it looks like a net or a lattice
