Gale missing from camp?

So I'm in act 2 currently. I did the prerequisites to have Halsin join my party rather than just staying in camp. I decided to swap Gale out for Halsin and I've been rolling with him for the past few hours. I decided I wanted to swap someone out for Gale again, and now Gale is missing from camp. I talked to Withers and it's not saying Gale is dead either, nor does the quest log say Gale has left the party.

EDIT: Love that actual genuine game issues are getting drowned in these forums by people ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about companion romance and politics lmfao

EDIT 2: Sadly I don't have an actual solution for this problem. Instead I reloaded an old save and replayed all the progress I made a second time. Irritating but I tried everything and nothing I did worked.

I don't even know who Gale is. lol. That's one reason I love this game. I'll be replaying it a lot to find the things I've seen others mention on here.

Sorry he went missing. lol. Hope he comes back or you figure out what happened!

Search better in the camp, or look at his quest if he died.

look to see if hes quest is in the completed section, if it is he might have left. did you remember to feed him?

No I'm telling you, he isn't here. The quest log doesn't say he's dead. I checked with withers too, no option to revive him, and his tent is empty. Trust me dude, I checked.

His quest wasn't complete, no.

My last save with Gale is 5 hours back... He went missing just after I finished fully recruiting Halsin by helping with the shadow curse stuff.

Tried that too, didn't work. Other camps he was also missing.

Sure he didnt die somewhere? Doubt its a bug, I had to replay 6 hours when i missed that Halsin apparently died during a assault in a2. Quest log said that his journey ended early or something.

I am 1000% sure. I checked the quest log. I checked withers. Nothing.

Just going to replay the past 5 hours I guess. x.x

I've just had this issue after long resting in Act 2 and found this thread by googling. from the camp, I was missing Gale, my Camp Supplies Back Pack that I use to store camp supplies and a chest with 5000g. i fixed it by getting someone to leave the party, fast travel to an act 1 area, go to camp, get Gale into Party and load missing items into travellers chest, then fast travel back to act 2 area, then go to camp. it solved all my issues.

Yeah I tried going to areas from previous acts but no matter how many different camp locations I went to, Gale was never there. My best guess? He got stuck somewhere heading back to camp. In the end I ended up reloading a 4+ hour old save and replaying all my lost progress and never letting Gale leave the party lol

Following the advice of a few posters, I went back through the different camps, having dismissed all of my followers. He showed up at the Grymforge camp.

He may be stuck somewhere. Twice already it happened to me, where after I spoke with someone half my party stay frozen on the spot. I didn't notice it the first time and went on my buisness and left them really far behind. Going into camp didn't make them reappear. I had to open the map and look for their icons to find them, go to them and then they still wouldn't follow me after I talk to them or anything. So I had to tell them to go back to camp. That's only after I found them and sent them to camp and then took them back that they got unstuck and started following again.
EDIT: just realized it's an old thread. Still I'm leaivng it here for the others who may run into this problem.
