Auntie Hag? (Possible Spoilers)
So, I found the brothers trying to intimidate her and sided with them, but she teleported away. They told me about their sister, went after her and died. I'm right outside her house, and every time I go in, theres a little dialogue and she then will try to flee again, after disappearing with the sister. I heard the sister may die at the end of the quest, so I've been trying to kill the hag before she can escape again and do the deed.

Is it even possible or am I wasting my time trying? I don't really have any hard cc like a stun to see if it would prevent her from escaping, I tried knocking her prone but she'll still flee. I managed to get her health down to less than half, if I had another turn I could kill her before she runs, but she'll always teleport away on the second one. Doesn't help I kinda have to waste a few actions to get her to come out of invisible too.

go into the oven
this fight is heavily scripted. The hag is supposed to escape and put the girl in a cage and then you're supposed to go through her horrible cave of traps and ambushes to find her and save the day.

I tried this many many times in EA to stop the hag but it seems to just be scripted that the hag either dies in one turn, or gets away. I even tried using Darkness so that she couldn't see the girl but it didnt matter.

Just do it the way its meant to be done, her little cave of horrors is pretty cool tbh. Save often tho.

The real fight against her is down in her dungeon after some other encounters. People did manage to kill her before she moves down, but they came prepared with explosive barrels.

how i did it was by stealing a rune bomb in the underdark and triggering her hag form after setting it down next to her. once she went invisible i blew that green granny sky high after using the tree in her house as cover and used the final turn to kill her before she fled. it was glorious.

Unless you can kill her in a single turn, you have to do it the hard way.

at lvl 5 it's possible, before very hard with normal builds I believe, maybe with more adds

guess you surprised her and had 2 turns because of that?

You can kill her before darts away, you just have to be good. But then you're rewarded with a bugged Mayrina that doesn't leave her chair. You can then reload and silence her, making her dart into the cave alone if you just get her HP to half or lower. But then you need to wait to loot the hut of the evil hag because after talking to Mayrina and telling her what's going on the stupid devs still have her thinking the hag is a friendly so she runs INTO the burning fireplace and into the hag's lair with a [MC -5] disposition above her head.

And then on top of that if you just go through it and reach the "end" of the quest with her saying she's going to take her husband back home after grieving the quest isn't finished and for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason the idiot behind the quest's planning decided to then force you to do the stupid wand ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that just antagonizes or endangers her further in literally any option that you choose.

Her quest was always the most bugged in EA for me, and even if it wasn't bugged it's still as stupid in it's conclusion than the guy sitting and crying in the Waukeen's rest for the two weeks it's been burning because apparently I didn't complete the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ quest by saving him, OF COURSE you need to steal the dowry to complete it! Duh! It only makes sense that the side quest isn't completed until you do THAT!

Whoever was in charge of half of the side-quests in this game got paid 100% more than they ever should have.

you CAN kill the hag before she dipps. on the hags second turn she will leave. if you can manage to kill her before that then applause for you. i think ive seen 1 video of it. you either need to be lvl 5 for second hit on martials or you cheese it with barrels or smt

-You can kill her, but savescumming is involved.

BUT: she does not beg for mercy when under 10hp. So no Chance to get the stat increase.
But killiing her upside ist the only way to not kill the masks downstairs: even if you manage to sneak around them, they will be teleported to the fight. And even if you manage to bring her down without killing the masks, they stay enemys an the fight continues. (An a heay bug if the talking starts while they are still alive.

Susser Greatsword (Silence on hit) and ensnared should lock her down. Susser Greatsword has a no save silence. No Sorcerrors can overcome it with Subtle spell or any spell that is immune to silence i.e the Level 1 ice spell can still be cast while silenced as it has no verbal components.

There's a way to talk to the brothers so they don't get ambushed and killed by invisible monsters but i don't remember the order of dialogue.

Nice, a few very interesting replies. Thanks guys. I'll try the sword, since I don't have any other hard cc.

You can kill her inside the house if you have two characters with the command spell then uses the halt twise, but you have to be quick about, a speed potion helps.

they keep telling people to cheese it because that is how they did it, not because it is the best result

Yeah, I've been considering this too, its just I thought it would be the "best" outcome to just kill her now and then, so she couldn't hurt the girl, I heard she can die, if it makes no diff I'm not sure why they made it a fight, could just have made it a cinematic. I felt maybe it would be the "best outcome", since the game is heavy on choice and all.
