Where are the Gloves of Flint and Steel?

I read that I can find the gloves as an optional reward for completing the quest "Find the Mushroom Picker". I completed it in every way possible, tried every dialogue option, and even tried completing it with different companions. Nothing.

Was the item removed? It it a different quest reward?

Almost finished the game, but I didn't find these gloves or circlet of fire. most likely they were removed

i didnt find the gloves in the game
but circle of fire has been replace by pyroquickness hat, found in act3

They used to be a quest reward from rescuing the dwarf from the Bibberbang field in the underdark, but it looks like the quest reward has been replaced. I wouldn't worry too much, the save on the flint and steel gloves was really low (DC 10) and setting someone on fire did hardly any damage.

did hardly any damage but u could combine that effect with other like the axe and the crossbow who do more damage on ennemies on fire. that was fun stuff on paper.
