40 FPS in Baldurs Gate
With RTX3080ti and i9-11900K. I feel like DOS2 had more crowded places. This is just bad.

Turn off DLSS and enable vsync , preferably tripple buffering.

No frame drops, maxed out, 7900 XTX

Haven't reached Baldur's gate yet , but with a 5600x, 4060ti, 2tb m.2 pro, and 32gb @3200 i'm usually pegged at my monitor refresh of 165.

This is @ 1080 mind you.

Theyre prolly playing at 4k lmao, as I play on all maxed settings at 1440p and go an average of 60 fps. HOW EVER it does drop frames a lot in more dense areas.

I have 60fps at max on my 4k monitor that is 4k. And I only have 3060ti.

3060 ti on max settings getting 100+ fps consistently.

It might be the new Geforce drivers that cause fps problems according to reddit, so AMD cards might not have this problem at all.

As he stated before he is not the only one having issues because multiple people have been having terrible performance in act 3. Including myself with a 11700f and a 3080.
Stop being ignorant and trying to say its a you problem or its his fault lol.
I had a butter experience all the way up to Act 3.

DOS2 runs on an older version of the game engine too but I dont have your 40 fps issue.

If you have a NVIDIA GPU, you should be using DLSS. I use it and also have vsync on and fps capped to 60. Very smooth game play. 60 fps for me is perfectly fine.

I noticed performance drops for me as well whenever I am in crowded areas, right now specifically in Baldur's Gate, Elfsong Tavern. 1080p everythin on Ultra with DLSS active and I'm running between 40-55 FPS depending on how I move my camera.

I'm using a RTX 4070, just to mention. I'm not sure if there are some settings that I could change to improve performance without losing quality but hey, if anyone got ideas let me know.

there's an option to ,limit npc AI in towns/bigplaces. didnt try it but i wonder if it could help.

i dont think the very mid graphics are the cause. it's gotta be calculations from all the npcs or something.

i can't imagine those ~970 era looking graphics slowing down a 3080ti

74.1 fps as mid framerate. RX 6900 XT, m.2 as drive, Ryzen 5900X

No performance issues at all. No technical problem(beside the gender thing....)
