Temple of Shar, missing gems

So im missing an Umbral Gem, been thru every nook and cranny many times over by now, killed everything that moves (except the rats), did all the trials (step, self-same, faith of leap), been thru my inventory and bags many times, but the final thing needs yet another Umbral Gem which i cant find anywhere no matter how much i try look for it, to open the large doors, help?

So far Ive only got 3 gems, one to unlock the first "elevator" and 2 on the pedestal in front of the large doors at the end.

which ones you got? 3 from the 3 trials you've listed? Then you've missed the one right after entering the gauntlet.

is that the puzzle seeming thing right when you enter, that repulses you when you try get close?

There's one that is lying where you encounter the orthon

The one i missed and didnt pay attention to it was at the area where orthon is, near the stairs to his "bed".

Tried just about everything with that thing, nothing happens when I lower all the ceiling lights and turn them off, apart from the repulsion effect which disappears, still cant do anything with it

No gem in the Devils quarters either, think one of them i picked up was the one there, not sure if i missed something with the Soft Step challenge as I only got a key from it nothing else

If you have lowered and extinguished the lights in every ceiling llight then what appears in the middle is a "labyrinth" that you navigate to the middle without touching the light walls

The guys above are correct. You missed the one at the Orthon. I did the same thing, twice xD

that's my bad, i got confused in my mind. Yeah, other folks told you correctly - there is a loosely laying gem near Orthon's throne. The one in repulsion trap cannot be picked up, although I believe you need to interact with it to update quest properly. As to how to beat it - lower and extinguish lanterns then move away a bit to see two rings around the pedestal - see a break in both? Memorise it, that's your path.

this happened for me when I took my rogue and went through the whole maze without interacting with shar's altar first, which spawns shadows in the maze. Only after going back and doing it properly, I got the gem at the end of the maze.

If you got the one from the orthon, and youve done the 3 trials, how are you missing one? Did you not pick up one from one of the trials? Cause 3 trials + 1 from orthon = 4

dont think i ever got one from the Soft Step trial, only a key, been searching around the area for ages, no idea where the key will go...

I think I already have that one, only missing one from Soft Step I think, like stated above

soft step is the one with the maze ;p if you didn't got gem at the end and there were no shadows hunting for you, you didn't interacted with the altar before entering.

hope it works for you as I had to reload save as interacting with altar afterwards didn;t spawn the gem for me :( good luck!
