Charisma on Bards not usefull for fights?
Hi all,
I was looking to the impact of Charisma for my Bard, and i noticed that there is no impact for fighting appart having a +x heal on heal spells.
Bards have no Charisma launching spells and no other modificators...
Is it really usefull to have 18 Charisma on a Bard? 16 with Artist is way enough to roll good on most of dicussion where Charisma is needed, and having Dex to actually hit ennemies feels more ok.

What do you think? Did you have a chance to use the+4 from 18 Charisma on a Bard for something in the Game?

Directly,,, Well your performance and interaction skill are even better, but 16 is also quite nice… You can allwasy make a deal with devil, or something similar and become warlock… But that is completely another story.

Charisma is used in your spell DC. Basically you need it for your spells to hit, rather than intelligence for Wizards.

Your Spell Save DC is based on CHA.
If you want your spells to have a better chance of not being resisted, you'd do well to get CHA to 20 as soon as possible.

If you also want your attacks to use CHA for attack and damage rolls, you can take 3 levels in Warlock for Pact of the Blade.
It boosts morale. Not sure why you'd deprive your teammates of the best damn performance they'd ever seen.

Pretty sure Charisma affects the level of spell you can cast and the number of bonus spell slots you have. I believe it also affects any bonus channeling you can do of abilities like Bardic Inspiration.

It affects your "To Hit" and Spell Save DC for your spells

Level of spells is based on Bard level, spell slots is based on total caster levels. Bardic Inspiration uses do not scale with CHA in this game like it does in tabletop 5e. Instead you start with 3 and get 1 more use at level 5.

Bards haven't any "to hit" spell :(

I currently have 18 Charisma, so +4 to add on my "Spell Save DC" but it doesn't seem to work like this, since even a goblin warrior lvl3 with 10 Wisdom for example has a 50% to resist my spells based on his wisdom...
