Concerning Books and letters
I'm used to saving these as they can sometimes be connected to a quest or have dialogue options for npcs when you find them. Has anyone found books or letters that fit this bill? I've found some that I expected someone might say something about but it doesnt seem that way. Just want to know if they are simply interesting lore items and I can sell them or if I should continue hording them like, well a horder.

I'm tired of getting Encumbered everytime I loot a potion of health (strenght 18). My inventory is stacked with letters, books, potions and all kinds of crap that MAY be useful when I reach Baldurs Gate.

I've been putting them in camp storage for the most part.

Other than certain puzzle rooms and specific quests you should be okay just reading the books.

Well heres an example of one of the letters I'm going to be kinda frustrated if it is just a lore item. I found some letters on a body that were supposed to be delivered to Baldurs gate. Can you actually deliver these letters?

I just send them all to the camps and use extra bags to keep them all organized inside the camp storage. I have to take all letters and books bc you never know

grey books you can dump or just sell as wares they really don't have any real use other than lore etc. Be sure to read ones that deal with potions etc. because that's how your character learns to make the higher level heal potions.

If it has an orange frame its quest related but the reg books are just for selling, same with any gems you find.

I've had a few times where the narrator would say: "You remember reading..." for a document (book, scroll, whatever) I only read but didn't keep and the game would give me a specific option related to it.

I've been able to pick up quest objectives by reading something in a container (such as a bookshelf or corpse) without taking the item.

I'm thinking that, unless the objective says you need the item, you just need to read it.

Still, it's possible, with a couple of select tomes, that something further in the game might want the tome itself and not just the information within.

I feel like this was a real missed opportunity. There are several letters and books that certainly could have been connected to some NPC who might have dialogue about it. Would have added an interesting element to the game even though there might not be some reward attached. I like lore. I also like lore with dialogue.

I just gave someone in act 3 a letter i've found in act 1 :P so I guess there was a point of me hoarding these haha. And no, it wasn't marked in orange.

I wish our camp had a bookshelf storage

This is why I don't like how this is done. I don't like missing out on things, so I end up carrying around a bunch of crap I likely don't need to be. And I don't like sending stuff to camp or storing it in camp because I don't know if I'm going to run into someone that the book/letter/note will be used for. So I'm trudging along with a small library and postal office in my bags that I probably don't need to have on me. But what if I do?
