Can you cure the hag eye curse?
Can it be cured with cure curse spell, long rest or is it a permanent issue?

As far as i know its permanent.
Also its not a curse, you literally lost an eye.
Going the Volo route for parasite removal is better.

I do not know if this works but its possible you may meet a man offering to do a impromptu surgery on you later that might sort the issue with the hags eye. No promises just hunch from dialogue I moved past don't want to spoil. It may also make things worse and not solve the hag issue I have no idea how the two interact if they do.

Is it possible to cure the hag eye curse by doing the Volo route after?

Who would go through the entire game with this? Its basically unacceptable

Nope, I tried, and the only option for volo after you have the hag eye is " No way, I only have 1 good eye left" ... then he runs off from the camp awkwardly .

Ive been going through the game like this and i dont mind i just use the ugly eye for the intimidation bonus now

Be happy it's not like it was in EA where you couldn't crit after and it gave you zero bonus..

I think he means a specific character in act 2 if i am not mistaken. though if its him i doubt he will help.

I did, you get -1 perception +1 intimidation and it have 0 impact in fight so what the problem?

It is honestly really annoying. I just got into Act 3 at about 41 hours in (about 500 XP from level 9), and the disadvantage on perception definitely has been a problem. I have gotten around it by having my other characters walk around to find traps and such, but considering my main character is a Monk who I also treated somewhat like a Rogue (has proficiency in disarming traps and such) - it has been a bit depressing.

If Volo has a cure, well, I wasn't about to tell him about my parasite when I was trying to hide it from him. I only just told him now, and then he immediately left a letter and went somewhere in Baldur's Gate (which I'm on my way to, finally).

I'll just keep playing like this for now though.

You had a choice and you choose to pay the price :)

go through the witch quest line first then do volo's operation, he gives u an eye ball that let u see invisible permanently, he said something about it a relic predating the mindflayer.

It doesn't give -1 in perception. It gives disadvantage in perception.

This means there's two dice rolls, and the lowest dice roll is the one that's selected.

This means that your MC is useless on the field with that skill, or in conversations where a perception check gives a unique option. All for what? +1 Intimidation? I'm a f*cking bard.

I took it, only because I wasn't yet well versed in the combat system. It's 40 hours in, too late for a restart, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does it suck.
