Not early. You have to use a spear to begin with, and then theres a glaive towards the end of act 1 but it has a chance of self stun, and I only found a +1 halberd from very near the end of act 1.

Wait wft, its just the same this one of the mobs drop, just a +1 Halberd, and I cant even jump back after getting it and die.
