Report a translation problem
1. Does not work for Glyph of Warding, other spells work.
2. When using Shocking Grasp with Destructive Wrath, suddenly the enemy can make a saving throw to only take half damage.
I realise this is an old issue, but there's a mod that (hopefully) fixes the issue on the Nexus. The problem was that DW was triggering before the attack actually landed and should have been triggering when damage was calculated. It was causing issues for crits as well as it would max the base damage but not the extra crit die.
I've only just installed the mod, so haven't tested it thoroughly yet.
It appears I was incorrect. After some testing (witch bolt scrolls and as many other spells as I could find on my low level cleric), shocking grasp just seems to be bugged and rolls damage normally. Every other spell I could calculates max damage, whether after a save or not, but shocking grasps does not.
